About

Vonnai Phair

Washington State University Student

My name is Vonnai Phair, and I am a senior at Washington State University. I am from Auburn, WA, a city on the west side of the state. I am double majoring in broadcast news and public relations, and I also have a minor in French!

Outside of school, I am a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. Throughout my college career, I have spent time interning and working for various communications outlets at WSU in hopes of becoming a lifestyle news reporter one day. My experience in broadcast journalism and digital content creation within my current and previous positions at the CEA Study Abroad Publications, WSU Office of Presidential Communications, The Daily Evergreen, and Cable 8 have fostered and developed my interest in pursuing a career in broadcast journalism. Last spring, I studied abroad in Paris, France to wrap up my French education, and I hope to use my language skills one day in my career.

I am continuously striving to build a well-rounded college education experience. As an African American woman, I am both excited and committed to creating a successful college and professional career in a less represented and recognized work force. I am extremely determined, passionate about my work, and have an eye for detail that makes striving for excellence obtainable.
